10. Reset one supported style override

An eligible inspector card offers Preview reset for one confirmed, exact local override. Supported numeric/boolean properties include relevant size, leading, tracking, scale, spacing, indentation and keep/decoration settings where the exact range and property are supported. A font name, ambiguous baseline, review-only finding or nested table/footnote target is not automatically eligible.

  1. Inspect the property, expected value and actual value.
  2. Choose Preview reset only if the difference is unintended.
  3. Review the live document change. The card says the preview is not committed.
  4. Choose Revert to restore the captured value, or Apply to keep the supported change.
  5. Inspect again and check nearby composition.

This changes one supported local property, not the paragraph/character style definition and not every override in the document. Other document actions above a preview's Undo checkpoint can make Apply or Revert unsafe. If refused, read the message and use InDesign Undo deliberately; do not repeatedly force the operation.
