2. Requirements and installation

Avellio 2.0 is a UXP panel, plugin ID com.avellio.inspector.v2. Its manifest requires desktop Adobe InDesign 2026, version 21.0.0 or later. This is the declared loading minimum, not a promise that every newer host/OS combination has been tested. It is not the ExtendScript Loader + Engine package used by Avellio 1.1.

Use the supplied, trusted CCX package for an installed copy. Install it using the supported Adobe installation flow provided with that package. Open InDesign and locate Avellio 2.0 in the host's plugin/panel interface. Adobe's exact installation prompts depend on the installed Adobe tooling; do not rename a ZIP to CCX or bypass its manifest validation.

Customers do not need Node.js or Adobe UXP Developer Tool to operate the installed CCX panel.

Keep a known-good package and your non-secret profile exports before updating. Adobe rejected a direct 2.0.1-to-2.0.0 downgrade in the recorded test. Do not assume that installing an older CCX transparently restores an earlier state.
