User Manual
20. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Check and next step |
|---|---|
| The panel cannot load | Verify InDesign 21.0 minimum, package identity and Adobe's installer message. Use the UXP package rather than the old Loader. |
| The panel asks for a key | Open License, choose the provider shown in your key email and follow Chapter 3. |
| Activation is disabled | Select a valid provider and enter a key; finish any operation already running. |
| Missing key email | Check spam and the email address used for the purchase or request; contact support if necessary. |
| No findings appear | Check the actual scope, included modules, filters, review status and completion state. Zero visible rows alone does not certify a clean document. |
| New marks are refused | Update stale evidence; confirm exact anchors, the active document and any preview lock. Read skipped-range counts. |
| Clear marks does not clear the map | Use Clear Style Map for the active map's ownership. |
| Preview fix is unavailable | The finding can be manual-only, stale, unsupported or have no safe candidate. Read the inspector. |
| Apply / Revert is refused | Check document identity, changes and the Undo checkpoint; use InDesign Undo deliberately if instructed, then inspect again. |
| A large scan is slow | Start with a smaller representative scope; distinguish extraction, analysis and marking timings in Logs. Do not treat old RC6 timing samples as new machine guarantees. |
Open Logs → Run self-check to verify panel/host readiness. Developer / QA tools are separate from normal document work; do not connect automation controllers or run calibration actions on client documents without understanding their purpose.
