3. Set a small, explicit scope

Open the intended document and expand Scope & inspection options. Choose Current Spread or a short Page Range. Page ranges use document positions, for example 1-3, 7, not printed section numbering.

Enable the modules you need: White Space, Styles and Typography. Check whether intersecting threaded stories will be expanded; this can include text outside the selected pages. Choose a suitable profile such as Editorial QA or Book / long-form. Confirm the paragraph-language or explicit locale policy.

Choose Inspect. Do not edit or switch documents during the run. Wait for completion. If you cancel, wait for the confirmed cancellation state; discarded partial output is not a completed audit.
