Locale quote style

Plugin rule colour. Read the rule name as well as the dot.

Avellio notices: Quote forms or their orientation do not match the supported resolved convention.

Example to inspect: “Text” under Czech policy

Possible editorial outcome: „Text“ · one possible Czech convention

Why review it: Quote direction and forms communicate opening, closing and nesting.

When to keep or investigate: Mixed-language quotations, retained source typography and house style can legitimately differ.

Your next step: Read the complete quoted span and its language before editing. Check outer and inner quotations together.

Verify: inspect the edited text again with the intended scope and policy. Check meaning and nearby composition; a review status alone does not prove a correction.

In the plugin — Review in context: Choose quotation marks or an apostrophe appropriate to the text language and context. This recommendation does not edit text; verify context, make a deliberate change in InDesign if appropriate, then inspect again.
