Straight quote
Plugin rule colour. Read the rule name as well as the dot.
Avellio notices: A straight quote or apostrophe appears where prose may need a typographic form.
Example to inspect: "Report"
Possible editorial outcome: “Report” · one possible English convention
Why review it: Opening, closing, apostrophe and measurement marks have different roles.
When to keep or investigate: Code, inch measurements, identifiers and source examples can legitimately use straight marks.
Your next step: Check language, quotation direction and nesting. Replace only the intended character in InDesign; review the complete quotation.
Verify: inspect the edited text again with the intended scope and policy. Check meaning and nearby composition; a review status alone does not prove a correction.
In the plugin — Review in context: Choose quotation marks or an apostrophe appropriate to the text language and context. This recommendation does not edit text; verify context, make a deliberate change in InDesign if appropriate, then inspect again.
