Understand what an action changes
Separate inspection, marks, review statuses, proposals and live document changes.
The most useful comparison inside Avellio is often the difference between observing, recording a decision, showing evidence and editing the document.
Inspection and visualization

Non-printing indicators can persist when the document is saved. Clear the intended visualization deliberately; a read-only scan and showing marks are different operations. See marks and cleanup.
Review, preview and correction

Read Explore, Preview, Apply and Revert, single-property reset and saved proposals. A saved proposal is not a committed fix. Applying one changes composition, clears queued proposals and requires fresh inspection.
Choose a manual edit when appropriate
When no suitable supported action exists, make a justified edit in InDesign or retain the occurrence. This is a normal outcome. For text-pattern changes, use a tested Find/Change query only after meaning, exceptions and scope are clear. Inspect again and check the affected layout.
