12. Local files and data footprint

Avellio can create or use the following external files. Private license-state implementation paths are intentionally not published in user-facing documentation.

License-transport helper files	During Windows online validation when the file-based transport is needed.	Operating-system temporary folder.	Removed after the attempt on the normal cleanup path.
`.avellio_write_probe_....tmp`	During a write-permission test.	The folder currently being tested.	Removed immediately; a failed or interrupted cleanup can require ordinary temporary-file hygiene.
`avellio_website.url`	Only when the Windows website-opening fallback is used.	Operating-system temporary folder.	Can remain after use and may be removed under normal workstation temp-file policy.

License-state data is maintained locally, but its private on-disk location is not disclosed in this manual. Licensing transport files are separate from document analysis.

Document analysis runs inside InDesign. Do not include report snippets in external tickets or shared files unless the document owner permits disclosure of the referenced text.
