Punctuation spacing

Contextual punctuation and abbreviation handling remains conservative.

Non-breaking spaces

Protect semantic units and currencies without using manual alignment spaces.

Dates

Slash, dash, and ISO patterns are recognized.

Numbers

Dot grouping and decimal comma are expected.

Currency

Prefix or suffix currency forms can be valid depending on context.

Units

Recognized value–unit pairs use protected spacing.

Regional variants

The locale layer can detect word-initial Ij where Dutch IJ is expected, with guarded brand/logo contexts.
